LeapEd Bright Ideas
The whole world is facing Covid-19, together and it can feel daunting. However, children of all ages can become proactive about staying safe, by practicing good personal hygiene habits now, during the MCO.
But what about when they return to school?
What practices and behaviours in school will need to change?
How can the message about how to stay healthy and safe be shared with others in the school community?
What other school-wide projects can be done, to ensure everyone follows the new guidelines?
Are there shared areas of the school that will require added attention for cleanliness?
You could have your child collaborate with other students in a project-based learning activity, to:
Compile a list of what are effective practices for dealing with Covid-19,
Compile a list of what can be considered fake news or ineffective strategies,
Design a set of guidelines for improving personal hygiene and using effective practices – images, videos, etc
Create a public announcement campaign for their school, eg posters, flyers, online reminders, petitioning school leaders and teachers for regular temperature checks, making and decorating their own masks, etc.
